Well... 500,000 user base after a month!

It has been a month since launch, and the Yoomba experience has been picking up!

More and more users are getting into the Open Communications Experience.

We launched something new, a new way of communicating and - guess what - people are Email Calling and Email Chatting - a lot! Gotta love that...

That's the coolest thing - people communicating, connecting with friends - but most of all, talking with friends that they could have never talked with online before. Yoomba is - Calling all emails.

A lot of users - so a lot of feedback... We are improving all the time, and we will continue our dedication to the easiest and greatest user experience. At Yoomba - it is all about Yoo!

Watch for our new Beta, with improvements and some great new stuff.

It's coming out real soon...

Yoomba two weeks in... and it's very exciting!

Two weeks in from launch, and things are exciting. Great user adoption and feedback. We have a lot of users - calling and chatting emails!

It is a Beta, and we are constantly working to improve the product, service and user experience - so we are listening, fixing, adding and changing so users will have the greatest experience while Yoomba'ing.

A new version was released a few days ago, and we are planning another update in a couple more days.

The greatest thing is to finally see one open communications network - talking, without the limitation of the old "closed group" way. The open communications experience is alive and kicking!

Exciting things are on the way. Watch our blog as we will announce some cool new features soon...

Yoomba has launched!

Well, today is the day! Yoomba has launched!

We have released our public beta version. It has so many cool new features that we are releasing to the world.

Open communications begins today - a new user experience is born!

The world’s first way to instantly communicate with everyone, simply everyone… is here.

We want to thank all the users who have joined Yoomba in this one day that we are live (so many of them already, we are happy that you like it :-)). We also want to thank the bloggers who have written about us, and the new experience.

At Yoomba it’s all about Yoo (this is not a spelling mistake ;-)), and we promise to keep on improving the product, and bring you more new stuff.

How cool is our team… We have been working hard to make Yoomba as great as can be, and we couldn’t have done it without this amazing group of people - Hooray for that!

As the user acceptance has been really great, Yoomba is dedicated to keep on making it better, interesting, innovative and ground breaking as this first version is.

There are some really exciting things on the way – so stay tuned!

Open is better than closed :)

The open communications experience - what does it mean?

Yoomba is all about open. Yoomba's team, our close friends, and people all over the world... have been using instant messaging and internet telephony for years. Typical users have 3-4 different accounts, run 2 or more clients on their computer, and have 5-10 contacts (on a good day...) in each list. And, if you have only one account and client installed - it is impossible to talk to all your friends.

Why? because all the "old" networks are closed. They only allow you to call people that have their "ID"?!

How many times did we hear people say "If I only knew how I can reach this friend... I would call or chat", or "Why do I need to register and get another ID to talk to people I already know?!"

Before Yoomba - if you have a gmail account, you can only talk to people on gmail. Yahoo users can't talk to AOL or Skype users. Hotmail users can't talk to anyone outside Yahoo and MSN and so on. Not to forget the biggest group of users out there, with emails like anyname@whatever.com, that don't have any way to talk, and need to join a "seperate" closed network!? " (like the one's we mentioned...) - just to talk to a very small group of people.

That's strange... It's more than strange, it's just not right... This is why we created Yoomba.

We understood, that in order to solve this problem once and for all - we need to create something from scratch - a new open experience. This experience should look, act, and feel like something you already know. So we created the Yoomba experience!

Everyone has an email address - right? Everyone uses some kind of email application (Outlook or webmail) to read, write, reply to emails. This is a very open and natural experience. You have one place where you can email with all the people you know with one simple click.

So now, we are setting the stage for the new era of personal communication.

With Yoomba you can email call and email chat with everyone, from your favorite place. Everyone means - hotmail, gmail, yahoo, AOL, name@anydomain.com, etc.

Got an email from someone? - you call/chat (instant message) at a click. Want to call/chat with anyone you know? - a touch of a button would do that. Want to have all your contacts show up in one place? - that's Yoomba. And more...

Finally - the one and only open communications experience!

Open is better than closed :)

What is Yoomba - the "technical" stuff

On a technical "geeky" note - for all you interested in "How?"

Yoomba is a totally new P2P network topology, built on top of existing email applications.

It may sound complicated - but for users it has never been easier.

Yoomba beta is live (& we have a new blog)

Well, we've come a long way - to bring you Yoomba! After countless hours of development by Yoomba's amazingly dedicated team - the world's first (and only) open communications experience - is live!

Yoomba is pioneering a new concept - email calling and email chat. You simply call or chat with email addresses (ANY email!) from inside the email application you are using. You have to try it to believe it... Use your regular email, ANY email, to talk to ALL your friends - in one open network (instead of the "old" 7! closed networks... Yahoo, Hotmail etc. etc. etc).

We are currently in "invitation only beta", so to try Yoomba - you have to be invited by a friend...

The world of personal communication is changing - and Yoomba is positioned to lead this change.
We want to thank our amazing team, and everyone who has contributed along the way. And of course all the users who have and still are helping us , in our beta, to make Yoomba the best it can be!

One open communications experience - this is what it's all about. Calling all emails!™

Yoomba - Now you're talking...
